    Default Future PS3 FW Jailbreakable?

After previously admitted that the PS3 are secure again with the 3.60 update, it seems that KaKaRoTo will need to take back his words, as you can see from the chat logs below.

[22:04:23] < @KaKaRoTo> and now i’m working on something new and revolutionizing that will also take some months of work
    [22:04:29] < @KaKaRoTo> (hopefully )
[22:08:19] < @KaKaRoTo> anyways, the theory says that it will jailbreak all future versions, but it needs probably 2 or more months of work to get it to actually be tested..
[22:08:24] < @KaKaRoTo> then need to test and see if it works
    [22:10:11] < @KaKaRoTo> but like I said, I’m not interested in 3.60
    [22:10:25] < @KaKaRoTo> I probably won’t release this until 3.7 or something
[22:10:34] < @KaKaRoTo> until I see an actual reason to jailbreak the new version…
[22:11:03] < @KaKaRoTo> for now, there’s no new feature between 3.55 and 3.60 that would justify it

Yep, not just he found a solution to jailbreak all future firmware versions, you can also expect something new and revolutionary from him. I don’t know how to describe it further nor it is related to Mathieulh’s exploit but as what he mentioned above, it really takes a lot time of work. Well, we can conclude that there will be slight chance of 3.60 CFW release. At least from KaKaRoTo.
Poor poor Sony....they tried so hard, and didn't get far...

is it ever going to be possible to have a real CFW not a HEN, if i can use the same namings of the PSP, because sometimes games wont run unless u use a certain payload or internal vs external HDD or 3.41 vs 3.55
    its really annoying sometimes

Nope, never going to be...we're already lucky to not have to reflash CFW onto the PS3 at every start up...so whats a simple game loader..

Only reason games will run on internal and not external is because the external has to be FAT32 and thats what basically limits the games..that has nothing to do with the firmware but how the PS3 was made.

i know that the external has to be fat32 but fat32 doesnt support big files thats why they are split into parts
when we copy them to the internal, them they are combined together

what file system is the internal and whats the payload exactly?
and we try different managers to try different payloads, right?

also another thing, now all over the place there are different kind of dumped games, some work for 3.41 others for 3.55
and newly theres this .pkg files that allows u to play the games from the XMB, i tried that with modern warfare 1.

can we make a tutorial about this issues? or should we keep the ps3 section clean? btw u can delete the unappropriate posts that i make for security reasons

Internal HDD is NTFS, from what I gather payloads are basically how the hack is enabled on the ps3...each devs (kakawhatshisname, kmeaw and so on) each have their own way of enabling the hack on the PS3, and I believe thats what the payload is and as far as I know, doesn't having anything to do with the managers.

Why does some PSP games work on 6.35 Pro and not work on 5.00M33-6 without patching?

Same thing goes for the PS3, games will not work on older FW without some sort of patch, that no one really bothered to do.

Link to said file please? I have no idea what that pkg does nor have I heard of it...so can't say anything about it.

As for the tutorial...tutorial about what exactly?

The PS3 section is only available to Senior members/VIP/Staff, no reason to delete anything as of yet, but thats for the mods to decide anyway...

first of all thanks alot for your replies

second. this .pkg file when installed it creates a folder in the internal drive of the console
and then you copy the game that u have to that newly created folder without the .bin files

i think that changes the booting of the game, but whats interesting is the following
after u copy the game u will start seeing an icon on the main XMB under games category and u can start the game directly without the need to use the manager

im sorry i dont have the link of the file anymore, because i downloaded it like a week ago

EDIT: the tutorials are for installing CFW (i found some really useful ones on the internet and i managed to upgrade from 3.41 to 3.55 on my own)
learning payloads, managers, pkg files, downloadable contents, compatability of games (internal vs external, CFW, ...etc)

Ahh ok...I didn't know such a pkg file existed. If it truly does work without any bugs, I'm sure the hackers would implement it in their next CFW.

As for the tutorial, I can try writing up one, but will have to be in my free time...bit busy these days and not a lot of time for myself.

its not a .pkg file for all games, each game has its own
i made one of the tutorials and KOD adopted my idea for the compatibility list
