Bluray dsics are expensive and what a time to mention the hack after the slim! So unless these backups (which would be about 30 gigs) were of the Had drive it would be a waste of time. Who has the time to download 30 gigs anyway?

You know, even if it comes to being hackable, i dont think i will bother, i havent with my PS2, I rent games for my PS3 and like with the PS2 when i find a game i like i buy it, usually when it has been out for a while. My problem with buying games is often i find they just are not worth the money, either they are to easy an finished inside a few hours, they are broing and after a few hours i never want to see it again, but then a game comes along i want to play over and over again, will go back to, i buy that. So I joined lovefilm, that way Sony wont ban me, or cause me any hassle, the games i do buy are games i will alays enjoy or at least enjoy while i am playing and get my moneys worth, even if bought at full prices. Like i will be for the Final Fantasy XIII games.
Okay i have CFW on my PSP but the games i have downloaded and got really stuck into i have the originals of. I bought Crisis Core, I own almost all the PSX RPGS and all the PSP RPGS that are any good, same on PS2. I have always done this.
Games that i have downloaded and dont like i have deleted.
I am a serious games player, it is a pastime i can almost anytime unless i am feeling really very ill. As for this little snippet about the PS3 "finally" being hacked, i dont believe it, it just doesnt gel in my mind. I expect a much more sophisticated set of "tools" to be abelt to hack the PS3. That it will only be of use when blue ray burners are as cheap and as common as DVD-writers are now, and of course the cost of the media is the same.
When CD-burners and the media first appeared, it was a very expensive affair. and downloading 640mb was not something most people could do, especilaly in my country. the blank media cost at least £10 the burners had to be SCSI and fed by SCSI hard drives, all very expensive, my first burner cost me over £900, and that didnt include what i had paid for the software, the hard drives, Adaptec SCSI controller, and a decent machine to run it all on.
People will do it when/if it is possible and they will sell the pirated disks they will be relatively expensive, and we will start seeing bootleg copies of software of dubious quality where it wont be until we are over half way through a 100 hour game that we find out it doest work.

    I would hate that.

    Rant mode off.
I am sorry about the disjointed post, it is very difficult for me to keep on track, i hope i have made some sense.
