Well, I thought I should contribute so this is one of many topics.


We all love sony.... but lets face it, its not a perfect company, in this thread we will discuss sonys wins ( namely the ps3) and its fails (yes thats rpetty much everything else its ever done for the world)

1. Metal gear solid 4.
Reason: apart from being the sole reason for me buying my ps3 mgs4 was one of sony greatest awaited games, from the get go of hido saying "umm lets make it on the ps3," to the finished product, this is my top reason for a good thing from sony.

2. FREE INTERNETS!!?!
thats right, while xboxers dittel away with their "gold subscription" to play some whiney kid from some small town in some ugly county us ps3 users get free intenrets, litrally, just get youre next door neighbers wi-fi code and its free you cheap skates =D

3. "No really its not blu ray,"

4. Anyone who buys one , owns at real life.
Lets face it, if you went for the xbox, you just really want a ps3, if you went with a Wii, people are just gonna take the P155 outta ya.

5.Community
in our community of ps3 users we meet psp users and people who cannot afford a ps3, its a win win for us =D

I remember the time when final fantasy was only licensed to sony =[

2. Being too exspensie
Its not a bad thing, but I knew someone would complain ¬¬

3. backwards compatability......
when it first came out, if you played a ps2 game on youre ps3.... youd end up getting a bad case of pixels..... no really I mean a bad case.

4. SIX AXIS CONTROLLER!!!
in the middel of a racing game?
if you have 6-axis turned on, kiss youre racing job out the window

Yeah, the free internet is a huge plus plus, but I don't feel that ps3 has what it takes for games that are fps. Xbox360 is better on that area, like GOW1/2, Halo3 and others.

I spend 78% of the time in mgs pullling of ehad shots in fps mode, It feels fine, but six axis on an fps, im gonna turn that down -.-

p.s- killzone 2 is fps, im seriously drooling.

Thats why, and you talked about "fps mode", I'm talking about full fps. Have you seen much or any ps3 fps games that made it big? Xbox360 has Army Of Two, Halo3, GOW1/2, COD4, BattleField Bad Company and the list goes on.

I think youll find alot of those games had scheduled released dates from sony, but got dropped due to xbox releaseing first.
And yes I myself have had the joy of a full fps exsperiance on the beautiful ps3 system

I didnt know that GOW was a fps??? xD

I really cant choose between these consoles. because:
PS3: Internet + crappier network -
Xbox: Better online + Still gotta pay -
PS3: Better Graphics +
Xbox: Better Race games +
PS3: gran turismo +
Xbox: Cod4 +

well I just think its hard to choose, thats one of the reasons that I didnt even buy a next gen console.

What full fps can I ask, which is not like walking halfway and activate fps mode? And Halo3, GOW1/2 were meant for the xbox360 only, it has been stated.

And PS3 online play, crappy network. PlayStation 3 Sitting not Selling?

If I ask my friends, ps3 or xbox360, most of them choose 360. Maybe it is a little overrated, but it still bring awesome gaming experience. As for the ps3, sigh.

ps3 is above all other game consoles but that doesnt mean they have to make it so expencive. thats what i think.

sony are losing money with every consol thhats sold, they are selling it to buyers at the cheapest possible price they can.

the major plus i have for the ps3 is the free internet, and also the fact that some people say that online play is awefull compared to the xbox360 online play, ie number of players. I have played online with an xbox360 and a ps3 and tbh i was more then satisfied with the online play of the ps3, not saying that it is bad on the xbox360. If my bro does buy a xbox360 of his mate in the army, then i can properly compare them lol
