Default [ULUS-10560] Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection [US] CWCheat Codes

Alrighty, here are my ported codes from the JP version of the game. These codes are tested by me and seem to work fine. Please let me know if you have any problems.

    ATB Gauge Always Full
    Magic Gauge Always Full
Break Item Capacity to 255 <--This is how many items of one type you can hold, NOT how many items total. This code also gives you 255 of each item in your inventory.

You must click the Thank You before you can see the data contained here. You will not see the thank you button until you register and activate your account.
    .

I hope you all enjoy! Happy cheating!!

I literally only joined this board to click thanks for these specific cheats. And since I'm posting here, I do have to say again: well done.

However, I do have a couple of things to report. For me, the 9999 EXP after-battle cheat did not work. In fact, it froze the game a few seconds into battle! I had to use 0x007A1B58 0x0000xxxx instead (and also found it's sometimes 0x107A1B58 instead). Note that the value can be nearly anything, possibly even more than 0x0000FFFF, or you can press it all the way down to 1 for a challenge/to avoid overlevelling. The only other problem I'm having is CWCheat not wanting to save the codes (they kept reverting to blank names and 0x00000000 0x00000000 for everything). Any ideas?

Well it's possible you have the EU version of the game and not the US version (which this post is for). I just posted the EU cheats in its thread also on this site and I have 0x207A1B58 listed as the Exp After Battle cheat.

By the way, the first number in a single line cheat code tells the game how many bits the quantity will be. 2 is the most with 32 bits, then 1 for 16, and 0 for 8 bits. This means:

For 8 bit the maximum quantity is 255 dec (000000FF hex).
For 16 bit the maximum quantity is 65535 dec (0000FFFF hex).
For 32 bit the maximum quantity is 4294967295 dec (FFFFFFFF hex).

The quantity is the second part of the code which you were changing down to 1 to combat over-leveling.

This is why its technically best to have the higher number but if your quantity is not very high then it is acceptable to the game to have the smaller first number. Technically for the code it could have had only a 1 in front, but the 2 was there to make it easier for those who do not understand the bit system but who do know enough to change the quantity as they desire.

Well I guess it could be possible that you are copying the US version of these codes and actually have the EU version of the game. This would make them not show up. If this is not the problem, then I'm not sure what it could be. You might look at your cheat.db file though. I found that some of my problems were from duplicate entries for some games which resulted in doubled codes. You might have a similar issue though I don't know for sure.

Ah, I see. Only know the basics of codefinding in general. :P I do know from experience that addresses can change in some games, however.

And I'm fairly sure that it's not the EU version. CWCheat is reporting the game ID as ULUS-10560. I do have a theory on this, however. It may be that there are actually two versions labeled with the same Game ID. I live in Canada, and in the options menu, I have the option to play in Japanese, English, and French. Does the US version only have the first two? Because if it does, that could be what's causing the addresses to be different.

I couldn't find any abnormalities in the cheat.db file. The cheats appear just fine there, and even are retained/reloaded properly if I soft-reset the game (which seems to be more of a hard-reset, because Prometheus goes off again, and the cheats setting is turned off). But if I quit the game and reload, every code shows up nameless and blank. It's really weird, and the only thing I can think of is that CWCheat itself might be getting confused in the loading process somehow, but this is the only game I've had this problem with. Incidentally, performing a not-soft reset brings them back.

My CWCheat says the same game ID and I also have all three language selections in settings. Just to make sure, you are playing in the FF4 part of the game when this issue occurs, right? You aren't actually in the interlude or the after years are you? The code may possibly change between those games.

That's an interesting situation. I've tested it on my game and I have not had that problem.

Are you using the UMD or an ISO/CSO? If an ISO/CSO, is it one that you downloaded or copied from your UMD yourself and is it patched in any way? I'm not sure if any of these things are the problem or not, but it might be I guess. Incidentally, I'm using an ISO which I copied myself from my UMD and it is not patched at all.

Yup, in the FF4 section of the game. Using a UMD. I did at one point think a patch could be the reason for the differing codes, but since you weren't using one when making the codes, I have no idea what to make of it anymore.

I'm so sorry. I wish I knew what to say to that. I have never seen this problem before. Maybe someone else that glances in here might know?

Thank you, CEK. I'm pretty new here really. I actually just started posting here with Dissidia Duodecim's demo "Prologus" codes. I was playing it and noticed no one had codes but the Japanese version did so I figured I'd try my hand at porting. Ended up going pretty well so now I'm going to try it for all of the (PSP) games that I like when they come out. Thanks for the support!
