    Default PSP Video player help

I generally use PMPLayer Advance (PPA3xx) for my video's on the PSP, mainly because it supports .srt files (subtitles for those who need to know) but since I recently updated to the new PPA3xx, due to its compatibility with the new PSP video formats (AVAC, H264) sub files no longer work, at all, I have tested them via the PC and the sub files do work and are in sync so I do not know where I went wrong.

I have been converting my videos using the H264 codec more because it tends to have better quality pictures. I need to get this sorted ASAP.

Which Build? What app are you converting the videos with? First thing i'd do would be to try an alternative converter.....(Sorry CEK got caught up in Minority Report!)

Oh and double check that you've named everything correctly according to the build specs and have the srt file in the right place...

I'm using the most recent build of PPA and I convert using AnyDVD Converter Professional and Alkollop Video Converter. I'm not sure whats causing the issue I do double check to be sure the srt files have the exact same name as the vidoe too. As far as I know the specs simply want the video in the video folder at the root of your MS, only other video folder on the card that I know of is in the ISO folder.

    !double post!

I've tried PSPVC the latest build but it is bitching slow and uses every ounce of my CPU but very little of my RAM, it converts better than AnyDVD Pro but the slowness of it is so ridiculous it's not funny. What else is good for converting video's ?

We don't care about double posts here....we're not a certain other large PSPISO site with insane ideas about moderation.

I've never dabbled in video's and subtitles myself, but just searching this doesn't appear to be a common issue, which would indicate that you've somehow done something to cause the problem. There are too many variables involved in this for someone unfamiliar with it to try and help from a distance, so it's difficult for me to help.

I always usually tell people to use Xvid4PSP for their conversions but again that's probably going to be slow for you, although since i never use the PSP for media i'm not much of a mine of info on this topic.

Aye I have tried that before, it is quite slow. I'll see what i can do to speed this thing up. I have gotten the subs to work and they are in sync with the video now using PSPVC, my issue now is, it's slow and creating a que of films to convert would take as long as 2 hours per film and I am not a patient man. Thanks tho. I'll keep working with it, somethings gotta give.

Out of interest what did you do to fix the issue with the srt's?

And can't you set up batch encoding and let it chug away over night?
