    Default Final Fantasy 7 trouble

so i downloaded FF7 for my psp, eboot file, put it in my psp/game/final fantasy xii folder i created. launch the game from my memory stick, it loads fine. get to the main menu, select new game and the screen changes black as if it's going to load and nothing happens. i can still access my home button to swap discs, reset, etc. i reset it, go back to main menu. tried selecting new game to see if it would work, and it did. it loads both memory card slots, no files of course. go back to main menu and try new game again. same problem. just turns to black loading screen, no text or anything and doesn't work. other games i have work, ff7 crisis core which is actually a .cso file instead of eboot. using 8g sandick memory stick

    help?

had same prob...fixed it by myself but i still have 1 question:

how the hell can i change the pops version a game uses? FF7 works with 3.71 but does not with 4.01. and i accidentally selected the later. i deleted every pops file in the seplugins and copied them back so i could select another pops version. is there a more elegant way to do all this?

Hold the R shoulder button down as you select the PSX game and keep it depressed until the pops menu appears.
