PSP - how to work the games?

kk, i have a very nice original psp :)... well ,my bro does xD ... now here is the problem... i cant rele find the papers for it and stuff... but i found the manual... and it seem to be a PSP 1004k .... am i able to download games and play them on it?

i think 1st u have to check what kind of firmware are u running?is it original?or not.go to system setting to see what stated there.n than report back here.

Yer also you can check the version by removing the battery and looking inside, mine for example says 1002 which is good for games

Yer check your firmware, you need custom firmware,

Turn on ur psp system settings>system information should say

System Software
NIckname
Mac Address

well, i just updated it... before it was 3.52.... and under the battery it says 1004 .... just updated it to 5.02.... no firmware.... untouched / tampered....

Would have been better to leave it as it was. If you want to play games from here, you'll need a pandora battery and a magic memorystick. you'll also need to downgrade the psp again to install cfw. I think you just made more work for yourself than needed.

You need to run the first one and it will ask for 500.pbp ( the second one )

Install as instructed ( read the readme )

This will install 5.00m33-4 the latest cf

If you wanna get a pandora battery you can get one off ebay, make one ( youtube ), or do you have any friends with cf??? If so you can do this way easier.... so do u???
