Was the psp hacked when you bought it? To find out, go to SYSTEM SETTINGS, then SYSTEM INFORMATION, and look at what your SYSTEM SOFTWARE is. If it's a hacked psp, it will most likely say m33 or OE after the fw ver. For example: mine's 4.01m33-2. If yours doesn't have something after 4.01, you'll need a PANDORA battery and a MAGIC MEMORYSTICK to install CUSTOM FIRMWARE.You need that first to run HOMEBREW and other stuff.
