thanks man, wat u say makes sense...y fix if it's not broken... ill stick wit 5.03 prometheus
No...anything other than 5.03 GEN or 5.03 Prometheus and you'll have a permanent, unfixable brick. You can't use 5.50 Prometheus on your PSP.
You will PERMANENTLY brick your PSP if you follow that advice.
Use Chickhen (or whatever HEN it is that you use to enable homebrew mode) and then load 5.03 GEN C. From there you can either stay or choose to try out 5.03 Prometheus. Since you're using a temporary firmware if you want to use a different one just power off.
If you flashed your PSP you'd have an expensive paper weight.
i know this thead is already old .but i have the same question so il post here..
i have psp 3000..and CFW 5.03 Prometheus on it..
my question is..
can i upgrade my psp 3000 v5.03 to v5.50? is it advisable?
and what is the difference of 5.03 Prometheus? regarding the phrase(you can play games that required v6.20)?
because i still have games could not start..like Prince of Perisa the Forgotten Sand.
No...you're on the latest firmware for your PSP design. If you try and install a different firmware (other than the 5.03 GEN's via Chickhen or Custom Firmware Enabler) you'll end up with an expensive paperweight.
A PSP 3000 only really has two choices Chickhen to 5.03 Prometheus, or Chickhen to 5.03 GEN-C (the former being the newer).
tnx Ostinato..how can i solve the problem regarding my games?i have games that i cant play..is it because its 6.20 required?
