Default Black Screen On Boot but with Back Light

    Hi to all

I have a PSP slim with this problem:
When I turn it on, the screen is black but screen is backlighted (I even can adjust The lightning).
Sometimes it turns on just fine, but that happens after a few attempts.
Also when I turn it on I hear the "welcome" sound from the PSP.

I uninstalled the CFW but with no changes.

Can someone tell me if this is a LCD problem?

    Thankyou in advance.

    Best regards

So sometimes it works fine and others the display fails to come on? Well at least you don't accidentally have a pandora in there (Do you?...copy all your data from the stick to your PC, format the stick and then see what happens)

Excluding Pandora/IPL issues It either sounds like your screen is a little loose (tilt your PSP towards you and look in from above) or the LCD is dying....in the first instance if you open it up you may be able to remedy the issue, and in the second it would appear you'll need a replacement screen.

Have you dropped it or something recently?

Can you still go into recovery mode? i remember hearing about this problem a year or so ago. something about a missing file that caused the problem.

This is exactly what mines does ( though I KNOW my screen is dead.)
I'd think your screen is probably dying or there's something that's getting uncnnected inside your PSP.

well if I turn it on upside down, it goes on perfectly.
I'm gonna open it and check all connections.
