Said I'd post my findings when I got the chance. So here it is.

I've tried every PSX game I own with this popsloader, and every single one of them works just fine, some even work under the new additions such as 3.8 3.9 and 4.01. So anyone who was having doubts about upgrading I can safely say it's all been sorted and everything works just fine on 5.0 m33-3. :bannana:

    Default Help!!!

Hi, I am VERY new with my custom firmware so I need some help. I only now how to paste .iso or .cso of PSP games.
I downloaded the EBOOT from Chrono Cross (Which I proudly own), and pasted it in the psp/game/chrono croos/EBOOT.PBP
I can see the game in the menu and when I run it, it shows the ps logo, then square soft then the screen goes black and nothing else.
I don't know if I need this Poploader Full Pack, but I download it.
But I don't if what to do with this file, should I unzip it paste it in the root, there is a readme with instructions to advance for me.
    I need some help.
My custom firmware is 5.03 MM33-6, my PSP is the GoW Edition and and the guy who crack my psp used some file name chickHEN in the photo and a file name CFWEnabler Xenogears & Becus25 3.50 in the game part.

NOTE: I also read in the readme something about turn off completely the psp and hold R to turn on the pluggins, but I can't do that because my custom firmware shut down when I turn off completely my psp.

well if you have a god of war edition psp it's probably a psp2000(there aren't any 3000 gow editions as far as i know)

anyway what do you mean by "my custom firmware shut down when I turn off completely my psp"?

i'm not familiar with chickHEN so don't do anything i say before someone confirms it but a custom firmware can't just "shut down". first of all after you downloaded the popsloader in the first post, unpack it. you will get some pops folder...if you go into it there should be a readme and a seplugins. if you access your psp check if you have an ms0:\seplugins folder. if you have then go into the pops seplugin and copy everything in there to your psp's seplugin. if you don't then just copy the whole seplugin to your psp's root. after that turn your psp off by pushing the power switch for 5 seconds. then press the right trigger button and turn on the psp. the recovery menu should start up. scroll down to plugins and press X. you should then see popsloader.prx [POPS] there. highlight it and press X so that it's enabled. then just go back and press exit and just select the psx game you want to play. it will ask what kind of pops you want to run it on at first...if KoD didn't specify a certain version then just pick the newest. that should make it work.

again...never tried out chickHEN...wait until someone confirms if this is right

Thanks Atta, and I know it sounds weird because a friend of mine said the samething, but indeed my firmware goes back to the original if I remove the batterry or shut it down completely. I gonna wait like you said until someone confirm what you said. Thanks a lot.

It makes no sense that you don't have a properly flashed CFW if you have a HACKABLE Limited Edition God Of War Slim PSP (red with the Kratos decals).

ChickHen + CFWEnabler/5.03GEN-A is for non hackable PSP's and installs a temporary firmware. Therefore inactive at boot and no Recovery immediately available (although GEN-A apparently does have one accessible after you've started it). Plus it needs to be reapplied as described above after every power off.

Might i suggest you do the following described here for the slim PSP (paying particular attention to the bit about PSPIdent). If all is well you can toss ChickHen away for good and enjoy the full benefits of CFW. Then read this.

Thanks Ostinato, this is what a was looking for, and explanation of what was done on my psp. I am gonna try to install a permanent CFW with the HEN file. My OFW was 3. something, but I just notice that the guy that "hack" my psp update it to the 5.03. It is still ok to try to permanetly install a CFW using HEN?
The part of the faqs that you told me that I should follow is "Slightly Risky CFW Install on a Phat PSP (1000) or a CFW Compatible Slim (2000) "? Thanks and sorry for the trouble.
