for Recovery Flasher

>> huh?
Using the Firmware Pack(s) in this release you can install:
CFW 5.50-GEN-D3
for
PSP 1000 ("Fat PSP") and PSP 2000 ("PSP Slim") - given your Slim PSP
is capable of being flashed to CFW!
There are two Packs (= .RFP files) in this archive, one to be used for
installing on a PSP 2000 ("PSP Slim") and one for installing on a PSP 1000
("Fat PSP").
The files are named accordingly, so finding the right one shouldn't be
hard.
Also, Recovery Flasher will give you an error and refuse the installation
if you should happen to pick the wrong one ;-)
>> lolwut?
Since v1.60 Recovery Flasher supports so called "Firmware Packs".
Basically, a "Firmware Pack" tells Recovery Flasher details about a CFW it
does not know natively so that Recovery Flasher is then able to install the
CFW in question - as long as the code of the Recovery Flasher veriosn used
supports all requirements.
A Firmware Pack is a single .RFP file that can later be selected in
Recovery Flasher to install the (C)FW specified by the Pack.
Since the Firmware Pack *does not contain the Sony firmware* (!) (despite
the name "Firmware" Pack) you also need - as usual - the matching updater
.PBP in the root on the memstick, just like you do with the natively
supported CFWs.
>> lolhow?
Five - and a half - easy steps to success:
1) Pick the Firmware Pack(s) (=.RFP files) of your choice and copy them to
the to root of your memstick
2) Copy the 5.50 Sony updater (to be downloaded seperately) as 550.PBP to
the root of your memstick
3) Lauch Recovery Flasher
4) On the first option, where you can select the (C)FW version to be
installed, press "X" until it reads "load from external FW pack".
5) Select "Install CFW selected above".
5 1/2) From the now shown list, choose the Firmware Pack that you want
to install and let Recovery Flasher do it's work as known.
DONE - This will install 5.50-GEN-D3 onto your PSP - or any other Pack
you might have selected.
>> lolwhy?
There are people who want to use 5.50-GEN, and now (depending from where
they start) they do not need to install 4.01-M33 or 5.00-M33 first to then
run the GEN installer.
Install 5.50-GEN directely, without any any extra steps.
