Sick of restarting your psp and hearing that boot that sounds like your nana's doorbell??? Well now you dont have to worry any longer this tutorial will show you how to change it to any thing you want
First of all what you need
Boot sound replacer ( BSR )
RapidShare: Easy Filehosting
Goldwave if you have a wav file ready you dont need this
GoldWave v5 Download
Sony atrac codec
Free-Codecs.com : Download Sony ATRAC3 Audio Codec 0.98 : Sony ATRAC3 Audio codec was developed by Sony for its portable audio players. The highest bit rate supported by Atrac3 is 132 kbps and supplies a decent quality
If you have goldwave or already installed atrac codec dont do it again
Now lets start open up the codec downlaod and sect the .INF doc right clisk and hit install it will say something hit install anyway
Now to convert use goldwave open it up close the help message and select open choose your file and crop it. To crop select highlight the part of the song u want to keep and then hit trim ( keep it under 3.5-4 seconds )
hit save as now copy what i do
Name atrac
Type .wav ( wave its the top one )
Attributes atrac 105 kbps ( its like 2nd from the bottom )
save it wherever you want
Now you have the correct file
But your not done yet open BSR.exe inside the Boot sound replacer download and run. Select your custom firmware then browse select the file you want then hit save prx now go to your psp.
Go to recovery mode advanced>toggle usb (flash0) plug in your usb
on your pc open folder go to VSH>module and paste it in there overwrite the old one Viola you now have a custom opening boot sound
