Comparison of several KOEI games:

Samurai Warriors + Dynasty Warriors (<= 5) + Warriors Orochi Games = Classic Battle System from DW
Dynasty Warriors 6+ = Renbu Battle System (unlimited hit chains possible, you can use war machinery, etc... but i dont like it.)
Strikeforce 1 + 2 + Special (360) = Strikeforce Battlesystem (you can fly, do proper attacks on the enemy, be leet ninja killer, lol...)

Overall I'd rank the Battlesystems the following way...

Strikeforce Battlesystem = 9 out of 10
Classic Battlesystem = 8 out of 10 (old, always the same, but its classic and i like it)
Renbu Battle System = its okay, but i dont like it. 5 out of 10.

As this one uses the classic battlesystem, its either love it or hate it... if you liked the classical dw games (1-5) or samurai warriors games (1-3, 3 currently unreleased but teased on youtube...) you will like this too.
