well if its the eur one, then maybe it was a patch? but i would assume only the us one would work. perhaps this is a copy straight from umd
so it wasnt realeased on umd at all? so osti do you know what kod meant about this being the euro version? why does this one work and not his initial release?
It's likely that the difference is the method of activation involved in the EU version, whilst the US was a full game (rather than a demo upgrade). Of course this is based upon this actually being a US release and not a clever Hex edit.
"Time flows like a river, and history repeats..."
quoted from kod :Hm... just noticed that this is the eur iso (NPEG) not the the usa one, how was it fixed?
that is what i was referring to. i dunno whats up with it. it doesnt really matter to me, just found it interesting.
It's definatly the eur one which is why your eur game save worked
, the Param.PBP can be unpacked to get the none demo background, this is definatly a fixed eur version.
but the time and date that this was posted is before the dates it appeared on any torrent or other forum. in theory whatever worked on this will work to get other dlc's to play,

Yes, I unpacked the Param.PBP and made my own custom ISO from the game that I bought off PSN, which ran fine with my licences, I then deleted the Param.PBP and it still ran fine.
So something in that EUR ISO was still looking for those licences for the game to get beyond Level 2... So maybe it might have been a simple hex edit in the end..
I am very curious how they got this to work though... Maybe ask the OP where they got it from?
yeah when i decrypted mine and converted it to an iso, the background in the xmb still said demo but it played full, once you've paid for it it will only fail after level 2 if you delete the files in the PSP/LICENCE folder.
i'll do a hex edit comparison compared to mine later when i get more time
