Default Little Big Planet for PSP

Wipeout HD may have just arrived on the PlayStation 3 last week, but its existence first slipped out more than two years ago, when Sony Europe recruiter Datascope posted an urgent listing for a lead designer on Wipeout games for the PlayStation Portable and PS3. (The PSP game presumably was 2007's Wipeout Pulse).

Datascope may have done it again, as the recruiter is currently looking for a pair of programmers to work on "exciting new Little Big Planet projects." While the posting for a tools programmer contains essentially no other hints about the nature of those projects, the "PSP Game Engine Lead" position slips out one more thing.

"Ideal candidates will already have extensive experience of the PSP platform, having shipped at least one title on this format," the posting reads.

This isn't the first time the PSP has been pegged for a Little Big Planet game. A report citing anonymous sources first surfaced in April, but that account said the game was "definitely" in the works at Sony Studio Liverpool. The new job openings are located at Sony's Cambridge studio.

Adding to the possibility of a PSP Little Big Planet are comments made by Media Molecule cofounder Mark Healy to Eurogamer. Healy told the site that there had been talks about a possible PSP Little Big Planet, but added there was "nothing concrete" yet.

"It'd be great to make--for the people who are really into the Create side--some kind of companion products that allow you to create things while you're on the train," Healey said "One thing that I'd love to add is the ability to create you're own music, for example, that you can import into the game. That seems like an obvious one to do and it'd be quite easy really."

The PS3 edition of Little Big Planet is set for release on October 21 in North America and October 24 in Europe. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.

Or you could also check GameSpot or GameTrailer for video preview (PS3 game). That should give you more impression.

Yes, more like a fun casual game. And would be fun for hardcore gamers as well.
