Default Final Fantasy VII ESRB Rated For Playstation Store

Are your seatbelts fastened? Get ready, Playstation fans. This morning, the ESRB updated with a new listing, and it’s one you might be pleased to hear. That’s right, Final Fantasy VII has been rated for the PS3 and PSP.

It’s hard to believe that this legendary RPG has existed for over 12 years, spawning spin offs (Before Crisis, Dirge of Cerberus, Crisis Core), movies (Advent Children) and countless bad cosplay suits, but never a true remake. Rumors have been surfacing for a remake for years, but this addition of the PS1 Classics version of the game could mean that an HD Final Fantasy VII is a lot farther off than we might like. While no date has been confirmed as of yet, the fact that Advent Children Complete releases in the US the day of Sony’s E3 press conference means that Tuesday is as good a time as any to expect this landmark title to hit the Playstation Store. You’re free to keep the remake wishes coming, but it looks like we won’t be seeing one for quite some time.

I wonder if we will be able to get the official sony release of this eboot up here when it's released, I would be very interested to see how it performs without the need of pops.

Funnily enough, this was the game that got me interested in downgrading my PSP, saw a video of a guy I knew on another forum playing it on his PSP and the rest is history.

I'm glad theyre putting this out on the PS Store and that it indicated that Sony really has no plans for a VII remake, because this was the Final Fantasy that got me hooked on the genre and I have always stood firm against the fan boy tools who cry out for this epic game to be ruined with a :censored:ty remake.

I still have fantastic memories of FFVII despite not having played it in about a decade. The fondness i have for all sorts of things from it is incalculable. Most recently i can't get the scene where we meet Rufus and the Turks, and the fantastic finger clicking music, out of my head. Although that could be a jumble of memories....as i said it's been a while!

I have only ever replayed this game once, i played it in 1997 ( my first final fantasy ) then started to play it again in 2007 when I got into hacking the PSP, 2 years on I still have not completed it. Issues with pops and other game sidetracking me along the way have made it a long journey. I did play through most of disc 1 and 2 in a single play period though ( well several days of on/off playing ) I want to finish it but I'm not ready to face Sephiroth and I would like to see Knights of the Round at least once with my own eyes, its something I've never seen. I'm not much good at grinding, my attention span isn't long enough.

Got to to bed properly now but.....you haven't seen Knights of the Round!!!! Wow....and to think that's the only way i managed to take out Ruby Weapon all those years ago. Cheap but effective.

Only thing i'm missing from my FFVII completionist's handbook is Aeris's final limit break....could never be bothered grinding just to see a healing ultimate move.

i think i aged an entire year during that battle.
i have yet to see an eboot from psn actually look as good on full screen as the psx eboots that we create ourselves. if they happen to add functionality for the analog stick, then i'll give it a try.

Does "Float, Float, c'mon Float! Damn...." bring back unpleasant memories too?

And laucupan...fail idea is fail. Leave my classics alone!
