    Default Over 141,000 PSP 3000s Sold in Just Four Days

    Famitsu has announced that the PSP 3000 has sold 141,270 units in four days in Japan alone, alongside an additional 14,450 PSPs and PSP 2000s. That total is enormous for Japan. Consider that PS2 sold roughly the same amount in the USA over the five weeks ending October 4, 2008.

    Released in Japan on October 16th, the new PSP-3000 has reached a sales figure of 141,270 units in its first four days. Impressive! Also impressive, the combined sales figures of the PSP-1000 and PSP-2000 for the October 13th-October 19th period tallied 155,720 units. (Compare that to the 19873 PSPs sold the previous week and the 24131 sold the week before that.) To date, 10,357,481 PSPs have been sold in Japan.

    I'm actually not overly surprised the new PSP has sold so well in Japan, they do get far better games and more of them than we of the western world get. Working at a game shop myself we have the new 3000's in now ready to go on sale this friday but expectations are not high for it to sell like mad, this winters top sellers will be the 360 and Wii again. I'd only get the new PSP once DAX has cracked the new motherboard and made a program that allows it to be customized. Until then I am sticking with my 1003.

    wew...seeems that a lot of people in japan that are a game freaks...i know that some people in here tend to bought it just to complete their game console collection... ^^

    Japan is the gaming capitol of the world, you wanna know if a game is good, see what the japs say about it. they know their stuff when it comes to games.
