Psp News: Firmware 5.0 Beta!

News that there will be a new psp firmware coming out, 5.0!!

The firmware 5.0 beta is now available to developers official order to test and adapt the games in progress on this new version that will equip our PSP in some time.
As with every major version (here the passage 5.x), it is natural to ask "what is the big novelty that justifies this change in number?"
Hard to say but it is certain that everyone expects and hopes, no doubt, the arrival of a new browser and direct access to the PlayStation Store without needing a PC or a PS3 .

I dont get it, IM sick of these ofw updates that do nothing for us, Guuys running custom get big bonuses that we dont see a drop of, Id love to be able to own on mgso+ online without having to stick in my pc headphones all the time.

If I wanna use a browser, I'll just type in google on my PSP, save it to book marks and- lo and behold -I now have Google! Not that difficult to figure out sony's only trying to make people think they need something they don't.As for a playstation store browser, don't really need it, I can find what I need online(with my psp or pc).

yup all these FW's sony brings out are just extra security just bullshit, if you have a update bring something cool with it sony, dont you get it after like 10 new firmwares XD

There's absolutely no information on this at all...PSPGen posted the news as reported in the first post. NOTHING else about any functionality or features - it remains to be seen if this is even true as they're not exactly 100% reliable....4.01 straight to 5.00 seems a little unlikely to me.

4.01-5.00? What happened to 4.05? Hasn't that already been released? 4.01-4.05-? 5.00 Looks pretty likely to me.
