In the PSP folder there is a Game Folder. The Game Folder should contain another folder named as whatever the PSX game is and inside that goes the PSX eboot.

ok so ive just gone and got a psp, downloaded the latest version - 5.02 but now i want to plat ffIX, ive downloaded it and have the eboot files. wont access it thought becaude of copywrite....

what version do i downgrade to?
do i need the .RIF files?

can anyone help?

Just bought? Sounds like you're on the official firmware....take a look at the box, find the sticker with the bar code and serial and see what letter code is at the tail end of it. Also what firmware did your PSP start on?

The only way you can play the files on this site is if you replace the standard firmware with custom coded firmware 'to unlock' it. The newest PSP's can't be hacked just yet, but if it is indeed capable of modding, you'll need to get yourself a Pandora battery or a Datel TOOL battery to faciliate the new firmware install (Amazon probably sell them)

I hav downloaded the popsloader thing but still cant...

Yopu may have the folder, but it from the sounds of the problems your having you do not have the files that are from inside it

ok so ive checked the box it says PSP2003 on it... if this is good or bad i dont know but if you know of a link for the software version i need then that would be amazing??

otherwise do i need to get one of these pandora battery things?

That's just the European Region Slim PSP....you're looking for a letter. If the letter is less than G then you're in luck. You'll need a Pandora battery to install cfw (if possible)...there's no other way.
