CPS1PSP & CPS2PSP for PSP 1000

How To Put CPS1psp and CPS2psp on psp 1000.

This tutorial is for anyone who has downloaded the CPS1psp & CPS2psp emulators with roms included from Venom's Collection. The emulator included is for the SLIM psp.In order for the roms to work on PHAT psp, you'll need to SWITCH the emulators.This is how to do it:

First, you'll need:

*these do not include roms*
CPS1PSP:File Details-CPS1PSP-v2.3.1-1.5-kernel-version-PSP-Emulators -
CPS2PSP:File Details-CPS2PSP-v2.3.1-1.5-kernel-version-PSP-Emulators -

Once you have the emulator you want, unzip and open the file.
There should be 2 folders inside: CPS2psp and ROMCNV (I"m using CPS2PSP for this) CPS1PSP is the same

Step 1: connect your psp to your PC and open the game folder on your Memory stick

Step 2: click on the CPS2PSP folder and drag it over to the GAME folder on the MS

Step 3: close and then run the emulator.This will create the folders you'll need later.

Step 4: open the ROMCNV folder, select any rom(you'll need to find these yourself, or you can DL the ones I've posted with the slim emulator here:http://www.devils-shadow.com/forums/...ollection.html ) and drag it to romcnv_cps2. this will Cache the rom.
Once finished you will have the original rom and a cache file.

Step 5: re-open the Game folder on the MS.there should now be new folders inside.
drag the rom to the ROM folder and the Cache file to the CACHE folder.

Step 6: disconnect the psp from the PC and run the emulator. Enjoy!

What is this CPS1 and 2 ? is it like MAME ?

It's an emulator that lets you play arcade games originally for the Capcom Play System 1 & 2. There's alot of really great ones like Marvel vs Capcom, Aliens vs Predator, X-men vs Street fighter and marvel super heroes.These are the ORIGINAL games. They look amazing on the psp.

nope, I keep getting the 80020148 game will not open error. kernel is set to 1.5 so I don't know what the issue is now. Perhaps you could direct me to a PSP Slim version, oddly enough they always seem to run on my PSP....

I've seen someone else on 5.00 M33 experience this issue with nester's emulators so perhaps it's a firmware issue. The 3.xx builds should work however... you can get them from my emulator collection thread.

CPS1 on the 3.xx kernel works on my phatty but 2 does not, also there are no roms in the rmnv folder......

Obviously to both...the 3.xx kernel versions will work on either console, and the ones in the collection thread are emulators only. Just use the ROMS Venom has provided in his.
