This will explain how to convert your mp3's to at3 the type of file needed to play on eboots.
What you will need
Sony atrac3 converter
Free-Codecs.com : Download Sony ATRAC3 Audio Codec 0.98 : Sony ATRAC3 Audio codec was developed by Sony for its portable audio players. The highest bit rate supported by Atrac3 is 132 kbps and supplies a decent quality
What you need to do is right click the atrac3.inf hot install it will say something a warning or something just hit install anyway a little auto run and yor set to go you can delete this now if you want.
Goldwave
GoldWave - Reviews and free GoldWave downloads at Download.com
Now use this program a help message comes up shut it down
Select open select the file you wish to convert if its a regular song you will need crop it down.
you can highlight, do that to the bit you want to keep all the other sholud be kind of shadowed up the top hit trim this will make it smaller keep it a max of 1 min.
Now go to save as choose where you want to save it
Name - Save as SND0 ps that is zero not o
File type - save as wave ( wav ) its the top one
Attributes - Atrac3 66kbps stereo ( its 3rd from the bottom )
THIS IS A MUST if you can'tfind the atrac3 stereo re install the atrac3.INF
Now go to wherever you saved it rename it SND0.at3 just change from wav to at3 cool
you can now use this as the sound file but...... i like to loop mine so open download
Download GWAT3 at3 music looping .rar from savefile.com - Filestube.com - download everything
Install this etc open it and drag your SND0.at3 into the grid and select goldwave and it will save it with a loop so go to where the file SND).at3 was saved and now there's looped-SND0.at3
you can delete SND0.at3 and rename looped-SND0.at3 as SND0.at3
Now go into psp content manager
PSP Content Manager v1.8 - PSP Hacks & Mods
and select your eboot go to background music and insert select the file hit OK
TAHDAH you now have looped background music enjoy
If you are doing this on a large file you may have to save the eboot then just copy and paste it into the same file and overwrite the old eboot. Sorry its just the way it is and is a real pain with psx games.
