Copying your UMD movie onto your Memory Stick

The only things you'll need are:
-- Playstation Portable running custom firmware
-- Your own PSP UMD game/movie
-- USB cable to connect your PSP to your computer
-- Memory Stick (from here on we'll call it MS)(;-)

If your PSP is running CFW you already have a built in UMD ripper & you're ready to get down to business without the need of any other program or
    download.

-- Choose the UMD movie you want to copy to your MS, put it into your PSP & turn it on.
-- Open "M33 VSH MENU" (press "Select")
-- In "USB DEVICE" select "UMD Disc"
-- Close the "M33 VSH MENU" (press "Select")

-- Connect your PSP to your computer with a USB cord.
-- Go into USB mode (Do this by scrolling to the far left icons on your XMB {main PSP menu} until "USB Connection" is highlighted & press the X button on your PSP).

Ok, so, you've connected your PSP to your computer with a USB cord. If you've followed the directions then you're ready to copy / back-up the UMD movie.
After your PSP is fully connected to your computer you'll notice a window opens up on your monitor.
You'll see a single capital letter followed by " :/ " with an icon in the window.
That window shows the copy of your game.
It may say something like "UMD9660 ISO Image file".
It's time to follow the next set of steps:

-- Copy (drag & drop) that file onto your desktop (This is the movie rip / copy / back-up that you want to put on your MS).

After it's finished copying to your desktop:
-- Rename it in order to differentiate it from any other copy you make.
(right click on it & choose "Rename" ;-) )
-- Exit USB Mode (press the O button on PSP)
-- Open "M33 VSH MENU" (press "Select")
-- Change "USB DEVICE" from "UMD Disc" back to "Memory Stick"
-- Close the "M33 VSH MENU" (press "Select")
-- Go back into "USB Connection"
(press X at "USB Connection" icon. You'll see a new window open on your monitor.
You'll see the drive letter of your PSP's memory stick. You should see the following folders:
    ISO
    MP_ROOT
    MUSIC
    PSP
    PICTURE
    VIDEO

-- Copy (drag & drop) the UMD ISO Image file from your Desktop into your PSP's "ISO > VIDEO" file.(if there isn't a "VIDEO" folder inside "ISO" create one)

After it's finished copying to your MS:
-- Exit USB Mode (press the O button on PSP)
--Now Open "M33 VSH MENU" and scroll down to "ISO VIDEO MOUNT".
Then scroll left or right to your movie iso (depending on how many back-ups you have on your MS)
-- Close the "M33 VSH MENU" (press "Select")
-- Scroll to the "VIDEO" icon of your XMB (main PSP menu)
(it should automatically goto the movie back-up anyway) (IMPORTANT---an original UMD Disc must be inserted into the PSP to be able to play backed-up UMD movies
it doesn't matter what disc you use be it a = Demo, Music, Game, or Movie, it just doesn't matter)
then watch your movie as normal

--the same goes for custom UMD Movies ( just download them and load them onto your MS)

Please do not post links leading to other warez forums and/or blogs. It is breaking the rules and next time will be treated as such.

    Sorry for that, my bad...
The content of such link is showed below. And it was made by me almost 3 years ago...
I've tried to updated it but, you know... take it with a little bit of salt!
[TO ADMIN: I hope this time I'm not breakin' da rulez...]

    About watching the UMD movies...
Since a lot of new users are in trouble about this, I'll post the following...
First, thanks to hako for his original guide
Assuming that you have on your PSP some sort of custom firmware made by the spaniard Dark_AleX...
[NOTE: since neurOn's CFWs are based on his work I think -but not tested- the instructions below are applied too]

    GETTING the .iso file
    If you are w/out WinRAR:
Get the latest[v.4.20, at that time...] at rarlab.com
After downloaded&installed, just click w/ right button to 'open with WinRAR' in any file part.
Usually you'll get the .iso file...
But if you don't get directly the .iso file [probably files such as UMD_VIDEO, UMD_DATA.BIN]...
So you'll need UMDGen v4.00: just google it!
After downloaded&installed, open it, then just click on Newicon[the 1st one on the main bar] and drag&drop such files on the main board...
... then save it as NameOfMovie.iso file and VOILÁ!

    WATCHING the .iso file
Put the extracted .iso file on the memstick\ISO\VIDEO folder: if doesn't exist such folders, create'em!
    (1) press select button on the XMB[cross media bar, PSP main menu... you know, that 'wavy thing' showed after the PSP is turned on]:
    ... and it'll appear the M33 VHS MENU*(1)
    (2) using arrows, go to ISO VIDEO MOUNT and choose the desired .iso file
    (3) exit from M33 VHS MENU, by pressing select again, and go to VIDEOicon>UMDicon and wait... untill it shows the desired UMDvideo/movie.*(2)
    That was easy,... wasn't it?

    NOTES:
*(1) For any reason[I don't know why...], some hacked PSPs start with Use of VHSmenu disabled...
It's necessary to change such configuration on RECOVERY MODE:
    1) GO TO IT by holding down Right Trigger/Shoulder while turning on the PSP...
    2) then, using arrows, select configuration and cross[X] to enter,
    3) then, using arrows, select Use VhsMenu and cross[X] to change disabled/enabled,
    4) then selected Back, press cross[X] to go back to RECOVERY main menu,
    5) then, using arrows, select Exit and cross[X] to go back to XMB, the PSP main menu...
OF COURSE, BE CAREFULL to do not change[undesirably] any other thing on RECOVERY MODE, since you're on the PSP dungeons... or you could mess it up!

*(2) You'll need to put a REAL UMD[anyone: game, movie, music, video, demo,... whatever!] on the drive in order to emulate the .iso file thru VHSmenu!

Any others issues, feel free to ask me...
If some1 find anything that needs to be corrected/modified/or whatever...
Please post it,... and I'll change these instructions/directions!
