So i will basically have to go out and buy one of those disc drives in order to burn the discs?

EDIT* Just read through the whole thing. If I download the wii games from here I can burn them onto a disc without having to buy an LG disc drive? Is the LG drive just for ripping games? Thanks!

All you need is a CD/DVD drive on your computer that is able to burn a DVD-R or DVD+R and some burning software.
EDIT: The LG disk drive is just an example
EDIT 2 = Burn on the slowest speed x1 or 1x and preferably use NERO or IMGburn and a DVD-R. It may take a couple of tries to get it to work.
EDIT 3 = http://www.devils-shadow.com/forums/...ods-utilities/ Check some of the stuff out in it such as the brick blocker.

doesnt the wii need to be modded also, like the twilight princess mod, or is that just for homebrew?

Twilight is for Firmwares under 4.0 and Bannerbomb is for 4.0 they both install Homebrew channel and the other stuff.

Yer i know i can burn them without the LG dvd burner but Its says that only those drives recognise wii and gc discs so you cant rip them on a regular disc drive.

If you download the .iso files on to a usb HDD you can then load them from a USB loader such as wiiflow etc. this will give you a menu to browse and select from hundreds of titles without having to change the disc every time you want to play a new game
