Looks cool and i like the concept, it's defiantly something unique that nintendo and sony will try and steal.....
The only thing i question is the price of the control pads, the wii was a family console that 3-4 people normally play on at the same time, and i'm betting you only get 1 controller with the console and have to pay a fortune if you want 3-4 of them...... i'm guessing that 3-4 controllers will be somewhere close to the actual console price
1 controller = no buy. So far nintendo stated you cannot use more then one wiiblet per console.
Let me assuage that fear...
Wii U currently only supports one WiiPad | Joystiq
Idiotic? Thoughtless?
well that's retarded, you know on e3 when sony where advertising the 3d tv and they said player 1 and played 2 could have different views looking at the same screen instead of having split screen? well that's how i kind of viewed this different views vie the control pad screens for multi player gaming, i can not see why they would only make i control pad work, i could understand that different people playing different games wouldn't be possible but not even 2 pads on the same multiplayer game?
The problem is streaming content to 2 different controllers takes alot. Honestly idc what it takes, just do it....thats your job. I would probably get this within a year of release if the big devs that SAID they are going to support it actually do. Madden, calling plays without the kid seeing is win. same goes for a COD or any other fps, RTS games would be great with this thing and a sh1tload of others could. But 1 wiipad is sooooo retarded i cant even grasp it.....its the same old nintendo, 1 step forward,2 back. (we not even gnna get into what the online is looking like sofar, that could be a thread in itself)
theirs still the whole concept of touch screen games like what you see on the ipad and iphone, i'm intrigued at the moment to see what they can come up with, to me it's still looking like a safer bet that the kinect or move, another use for it could be a virtual keyboard if their smart enough to put an internet browser on the console... thats one thing that pissed be of about microsoft at e3, were "we're bringing you tube to xbl" , "were bringing bing to xbl" .... just bring me aing internet browser so i can visit any site i like.....

that whole voice xbox thing really irks me, i can see 1 kid watching something and another kid coming downstairs and saying xbox change channel or whatever.
though xbox.....redtube interests me XD.
the problem nintendo got here is they keep saying they want "core" players....which is awesome...we all want a competent COD:BO, or Battlefield or whatever. but the "core" wants MP.....point blank...no MP noones gnna care. they bust out this awesome controller that most people immediately thought....awesome, me and my friend can play, together IRL, without splitscreen....and they pull the rugout from that. So that leaves online for true MP gaming, and i think we all can agree nintendos online is less then stellar (even if we were in 2000). They keep talking core but dont deliver the experience, this stuff is expected nowadays, ppl want online multiplayer, trophies, good gfx and competent gaming experiences that are in-line with their competitors.
