    Default wi-fi max problems.........absolutely infuriating

im sorry i did not know where to put this because its a mostly a nintendo wii problem.

i just got a wi-fi max USB adapter, it came with the "dongle" (retarded word i know..) the desktop stand and an instruction manual which is very unhelpful..
anyways the bottom line is i need vista drivers. but i cant seem to find any. windows wont find any either. i cant install the utility software either. i had no choice but to buy this. the official one was out of stock! EVERYWHERE! -.-
all i wana do is connect it to my wii to update the system menu.

im in DESPERATE NEED of help..

and to help you better understand the problem, heres some of the sources iv been using

    http://www.datelcustomerservice.com/...endo%20Wii.htm

    http://www.ilgrottino.net/driver-dow...cess_point.pdf

with each source something has gone wrong. something hasnt appeared or something was different. this is really getting me mad...just like everyone else who has bought a wifi max

Why do you need Vista drivers? You also haven't really described where you're getting stuck.

well the software CD only has drivers for up to windows XP so i need vista drivers..i managed to follow the instructions of one of those sites i posted. but the ZD icon dosnt appear an i cant click the utility from the start bar either. and tbh im stuck everywhere....this is a nightmaaaaaare!!! you lied to me store clerk nerd!!!!!! -.-

also i want to connect to wii. but theres problems there as well.. setup CD has crappy applicatiosn for PSP and DS and im SURE they wont help. tried the PSP one and its garbage. it even says ideal for wii on the box. but im having to look at online tuts. so simply i need the vista drivers to get it running and then i need to config it for the wii.
also the link to the vista drivers in that site i posted is dead.

major breakthrough. i got the ZD window to appear. god dammit was it hard. had to f**k around with drivers uninstalling reboot and then run in comptability mode..i dno wtf was goin on cuz it was appearing then disapearing. but thank you very much for that file. im going to try them in a mo. although i might not need to now. but still thanks all the same.

edit: okay so it DID come up and i was trying to continue the guide but it kept askign if i wanted to use it as the default app for handing wireless LAN i think. keeps coming up and i keep clicking yes..nothing. those files you linked me to dont seem to be working either.

Well i don't have a Wii myself and now i've seen that CEK has taken a read of this topic (and knowing that he owns a Wii), he might be better positioned to guide you through the process.

    HALLELE-F***ing-LUUUUJA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*cough* the vista drivers i found worked, and im in the main menu, now i can finally config it...

okay so i configed it like the guide said and yay i made my first wireless access point but now im getting errors. its getting recognised during a scan but i cant connect. im getting 52030 connection error on wii and a timeout while trying to obtain the ip address on the PSP. i tried inputting it manually but that didnt seem to work either.

    suggestions? im almost there! XD

iv tried everything.everything off nintendos website and other forums..all say the same thing. changed channels around changed to mixed mode set WEP key to one. basicly iv done everything theyv said adn it still wont work and i dont know why. its pickign it up when it scans but its not connecting. always fials obtaining IP

Possibly your Firewall might be causing a problem. Also Is your connection set up to be shared?

Additionally have you manually entered all your connection details or are you relying upon the scan to sort it out for you?
