    Default Wii Disk stuck.....

I have a disk stuck in my wii and it won't eject, i can play the game thats stuck.....it attemps to eject it when you press the eject button but it won't come out, i can't send it to nintendo because it has a mod chip in it, the disk thats stuck is also a backup....

I've google'd this and and it seems to be a problem a lot of people are having..... i didn't drop it or anything it just stopped working

Anyone know a solution without me having to open it up?

The wii has some wierd screws in it so i've ordered a special screwdriver for it off ebay and i'm going to open it up and try and fix it myself when it gets here but it's bank holiday and i'll have to wait longer than usual which sucks

have you tried unplugging it to let it discharge, and then plugging it back in.
this may sound odd but if it is trying to eject, try to eject it upside down.

outside of pulling the game out with tweezers, that freak little screwdriver may be the only option.

Well good news, the screwdriver arrived this morning,

i undid the screws and took the disk out manually, (btw their is no paperclip hold under the face plate) and now it's working again fine and ejecting the disk properly

the screwdriver only cost me £2 of ebay including p&p!

As i said a lot of people are having this problem, i've read articles about this happening to people on the first day they open the unmodded wii so this is nothing to do with the chip, repair shops are charging up to fix £60 to this issues, i've also read about people blaming it on broken fuses which isn't the case, the drive just manually locks up occasionally

with that kind of turnover, maybe you should start Devils-Shadow Repair. could make a killing globally.

    glad everything worked out.

I know a lot about software and coding but i'm unexperienced when it comes to hardware so if i can do this anyone can, the most difficult thing is remembering where all the screws go back when your putting it back together the wii has far to many screws holding it together and it's annoying switching screwdrivers for the different type of screws they've got randomly placed

Default BEWARE when you take apart

Hi please be aware that some of the wii screws are different as in short and long but look the same.Have modded a few with Wasabi DX and i'am quite experienced with this problem. So try to remember where the screws came from in total there are 17 external screws and 4 internal.
    Hope this helps
