How to play wii backups for N00bZ

Ok...i've seen so many wii uploads recently that i am curious as to how to do this. Does the wii need to be modded at all to do this as in the TP hack? also what type of disc would you use to do it and what settings do you use for the program that KOD uploaded? Lookin for a nice lil tut to bring all this info together so us noobs can get into doing this without risking bricking the wii. Thanks guys!

i think you just need to find some programs to install onto a sd card and put it in the wii and eventually enabling the homebrew channel as for cd i think you just need an extra sd card and sync it to the wii not 100% sure cuz i just found a tutorial on the web and haven't actually did i keep putting it off :P anyway hears the tutorial i found its on youtube YouTube - Wii Hack Tutorial - How to Hack Your Wii in 7 minutes!
