So my Xbox crapped out. My husband took it to Trade a game to have it fixed, they supposedly fixed our E74 error and gave it back to us, and there was much rejoycing. It worked for a grand total of 3 days before crapping out again, and rather than take the damn thing back to trade a game, we decided that another 75 bucks to have it fixed again was way too much. I've bought it a new talismoon whisper fan, thinking that was the initial problem. I was wrong, apparently. Instead of 3 lights after I hooked up the fan like there was before, now I get two. I did the *hold down reset button and push eject four times* trick to get the hidden error message and it's 0013. I've been looking all over hell and back trying to figure out what's wrong with this machine. Trade a game told us that they just resoldered the infamous weak soldering job done by Microsoft. They has lied. They took apart the machine and did a very crappy job at an x clamp fix. The original x clamps are gone and they used ONE nylon washer to separate the gpu and everything from the motherboard. They used silver coolant paste, and then screwed the whole thing back together with the original x clamp screws.

The problem that I'm having now is that my xbox won't stay on long enough for me to even remotely heat up the damn thing to the temperature it needs to be. It stays on a grand total of 5 seconds and then powers down.

I have no clue how in the blue hell to fix it now.

Can anyone lend a helping hand? Should I just redo the fix that Trade a game half assed? Should I try and take the machine to someone else that does xbox repairs? I r losted.

I should also make a new siggy... great with psp's.... sh** with Xbox.

And one more thing, a giant to Microsoft and Trade a Game.
