It does look like it would work, but if you don't know enough about electronics you could eff up your 360 and end up without a 360 anyway

it might work but unless you have more than a basic knowledge about taking apart electronic devices this is not something for the faint of heart. You should also be aware that taking the housing off of your 360 permanently voids your warranty.

Side note. The console he turned back on could quite easily be another console which he just put the housing over to hoax you all.

2nd side note - You seem to make a lot of these RROD threads warrior, how about you merge them ? instead of 1 billion RROD threads by warrior we'll have just one....

CEK dont think the i a PS3 fandoy plz i hate the 360 because that fusking 54.2 of error that fusk me up map now i ask to some 1 of my frind if they have any 360 with the DROD to try

combine the multiple penny idea from this one and use actual heat sink compound from the last one, and you have a good plan! the hot glue....not so much.

that 54.2% error is a bullsh1t gameinformer survey from 5000 ppl that for all we know could be sony fanboys.

Im in now way sticking up for microsoft....the xbox360 failure rate is unacceptable, but that % is just absurd and based entirely on nothing

well this might come in handy for me one day, I have had my console for 2 years now, hopefully it will be one of the few out there that actually survives should I continue to take care of it the way I do now. If it goes RROD after the 3 years warranty is out, I might give this a go.

I have had mine for three years and I had only one RROD incident and I did the penny thing, I haven't had a problem since
